"The Bear Clan (Ohkwa:n)," is known for; Diciplied, wise,of great moral character, devoted, and courageous. We are called the Bear clan because we're Great fish, deer, and small animals. We are also called the Bear Clan because we're great masters of our domain, and other humans are only sometimes a real threat.

In class we watched a video about the early Iroquois people making peace. By joining together to make peace, the leader lifted up a tree and by trapping the demons of evil in the hole, the Great Law of Peace was created. Without the Law of Peace they would just keep killing each other until they all died off. Without the Law of Peace there would be no Iroquois Confederacy. I think the Great Law of Peace is very important to all the Canadian culture.
